Hello

I am a budding AP grower. I got started due my 10 year old daughter. She wanted to build a model out of a en gallon fish tank with two friends for a technology project. She ended up with a top ten project in the state. Well i had made a deal with her that if she made it to state (she would have to be in the top 20 project in our region which had 372 entries) we would build one at our house. Well now i am building one.

Thanks to those here who answered her emails and gave her some incite (i really do appreciate the time those who responded to her) i am building an AP system by our house and already are getting supplies for a small lean to green house.

I have a background in agriculture, horticulture, and cartilagenous fish (mainly rays and sawfish). I have gotten more excited as we have gathered materials and the daddy/daughter construction company plans are to start one week from tomorrow. We are waiting on our pump and fish.

We have an IBC tote and peagravel to use right now and are trying to find other grow mediums in our area to use. We have a local koi grower that uses a system to aid his fish, but he is just getting started too as far as growing food.

Will take plenty of pics and post as we get underway.

Welcome Medic4049. Interesting background and proof that you should never bet with a ten year old. You'll have lots of fun with this and probably wind up building another system soon - yes it's that addictive

Will do. She has a powerpoint she made too. She did the wiring nd even had her iphone turn on nd off the grow light. Now the tansition looks inevitable from raised bed gardens to an AP system huh.
