Yeah, looks great Bryan. Keep an eye on your nitrites, they can do harm to your fish. Pool salt @ 1ppt will help, so 2kg for a 2000 litre tank. Keep those photos coming. :)

Adding salt will release ammonia from your zeolite, I would remove the zeolite first then add salt to mitigate nitrites
Cheers

Seasol won't increase your nitrite levels...

Nice system Bryan, well done.
I had to look twice as my name is also Bryan K and I live in Padbury just near you. I have a system up and running but is an IBC unit, still waiting for concreting to be done for my larger unit.
Keep up the good work.

Thanks all
System has cycled with no loss of fish, amm 0, nitrites 0, nitrates 40, ph 7.6
Fish all happy, but plant growth is slow,I think it is because of the ph, I have added some iron to see if this will pick up the growth.

How long should it take for the ph to drop below 7?

Thanks

Bryan

Mine has been 7.6 for as long as I can remember, I wouldnt fuss about it at all.

Adjusting PH is what does the damage, just leave it be and you will be fine :thumbright:
