I'm Barb. I'm a the planning stage and can't wait for warmer weather so I can start digging my fishpond. I look forward to avoiding some dumb newbie mistakes with your help.

Hey barb, I have not seen any post from OK yet - but I am fairly new myself. And with this cold spell we have had in the south, I imagine most are just trying to stay warm. I'm in houston and chomping at the bit to get started too. I found three shops not to far from me that have AP stuff...I'm amazed I had never heard of it before a few months ago. There is a ton of information here - I'm still reading after maybe 2 months of finding this place.

Stay warm and welcome aboard!
Mark

PS
Never thought I would be telling a fellow southerner to stay warm! Where is that global warming when you need it?

welcome barb.....

its cold here in the deep south also.... but next week back to normal and onward and upward of my second system.... a small outdoor one .....

best thing to do while waiting for that warm weather is to read alot.....

I recommend reading the following forums....

Basic Information
Aquaponics F.A.Q.
usefull information

after digesting those... jump to members systems and pic a few and read from start
to finish to see what the pros and cons are of those systems...

then do a searh for any questions you have and ask lots of questions...

BTW we do like pictures... start with site pics and then progress pics....

one main thing to do when you get going is, if you have an idea to do something... post it
up and let all the AP people take a look and make sure it will work, will save a lot of HSM's
later on

nice to have you aboard...

JT

Thanks Mark and JT!! I suppose the cold snap is actually helping as it gives me more time to read and research. So much info -- and I must sleep some too. Can't wait to get my hands dirty. Barb
