A place to discuss aquaponics

Hello,

Carrie here, just at the planning stages of setting up a 12 X 20' hoophouse and hoping to get a few fall veggies and herbs out of it.

I've had an unheated hoophouse before for getting a jump on the gardening season and growing things like radishes, parsley, bok choy late into the season, but now would like to try aquaponics in it. Basically right now I have the hoops, Five 55 gallon drums, and an electric pole and nothing else.

OK, after seeing just a few setups, I started the kids helping me gather what we have and took the first photo:

Not the best picture yet, but things will come together quickly as I get at least one 'tank' and growbed figured out and setup. I was able to get 4 free drums yesterday free, already had the castiron tub, and already had the hoops and purloins. Still have to find my bolts for the hoophouse and scrounge up baseboarding scrap wood. I have shadecloth I can use right now, but will have to buy new greenhouse film this fall.

looking forward to sharing updates and reading more before I go any further than getting the hoops up.
