:D I am a newbee just starting a aquaponic system housed within a double enveloped 30 foot by 40 foot green house. We are located near the small town of Shelbyville, Texas USA which is located in what we call deep East Texas. I have been studing and following the grass roots growth of the home grown self sustaining systems that stated back in the early nineties. I will begin by placing photo of the land in my next message and will document the building along with the success and do-a-gains that allways pop up. I am still not sure of the rock I will use and would like any suggestions as to the grow bed medium used by those that are producing fish and plants. Texas H20Farmer

g'day H2OFarmer and welcome to the forum. :D

The media choice is up to you but remember you will eventually be digging around in it and need to support it as well, so the less weight it has the better in my opinion.
