For those of you that haven't noticed as yet, on Friday we went live with our new BYAP website. http://www.backyardaquaponics.com It's been a long time coming, I've been slowly adding bits and pieces to the old website for many years now and it was long overdue for a major remake. For those with a little knowledge on websites, the new site is based on a CMS (Content Management System), this allows us to update the website easily with regular new information and we plan to make good use of this aspect. The new online shop is up and running as part of the site, this of course has been a pretty major update. Till now we have only sold a couple of book and DVD packages through the website, now we have the largest range of aquaponics informational products available anywhere in the world. We also have printed copies of the BYAP magazines available. We have a range of over 100 different vegetable, fruit and herb seeds available for those people within Australia, as well as AP news articles, videos, newsletter subscriptions and latest forum threads listed on the main BYAP page. Our aim is for the website to be a repository of aquaponic information, where people can learn about all aspects of aquaponics. There's already a huge amount of information available in the "information" section, including links to documents that most of you would never have seen. Go to the "information" section of the site, and check under "Info" for these links. In coming weeks we will be including a whole new section to the website called "Articles". Here we will include informative articles on a regular basis about all subjects including and related to aquaponics, these will be original articles, not regurgitated internet information as you often find on sites. We did only put the website up about 3 days ago and there are still a number of things that need to be finished and added to, so please be patient. If you find a glaringly obvious mistake please let us know so that we can fix it to make the experience better for everyone. Anyway, enough of my dribble.... Go and have a look around the new website.... http://www.backyardaquaponics.com |

You should be able to edit most posts that you make yourself Jessy... But you'll probably find that members don't have permission to edit... in administration posts such as announcements... |
