Post subject:  Backyard Aquaponics Photo Competition 2008
OK, here it is, the photo competition for 2008.

Please post your photos here, there's no limit to the number of photos you can submit and comments are welcome, but we will go through on a regular basis and remove any old posts that are only comments without photos attached, this will allow people to comment at the time, yet help to keep the thread clean.

We will run this till the end of the year, that gives everyone lots of time to submit pictures. The prize? Don't know as yet, but it will be something good, I'll post on here when I figure out what it's going to be.

Everyone can enter, including mods and admin. Towards the end of the year the top ten contributions will be picked from the entrants, then everyone will have a chance to vote for their favourite picture in a poll. Photos are to be related to aquaponics in some way, water, plants, fish, bugs, etc.. There are no real restriction, but if you enter a picture of some lovely mountains, or the Eiffel tower, etc, it won't make the final 10.. :)

..7 weeks in and my red cabbage have some funky colors in the evening.

I just love it when these creatures pose for me, and when I develop the photo on the big screen I get to see things that I could never have imagined, the detail is awesome.

OK, there aren't many entries rolling in for the photo competition, but I think I know why, there has not been any mention of the prize. The prize for the winning photo for 2008 will be the following:

1 x Backyard Aquaponics manual/DVD/CD-Rom
1 x Integrated agriculture 6 DVD set
1 x Desktop aquaponic manual
1 x Introduction to aquaponics DVD
1 x Backyard Aquaponics shirt (size to suit)
1 x Backyard Aquaponics Cap
1 x Backyard Aquaponics Drinks holder
2 X Backyard Aquaponics pens

Surely that's sweetening the deal a bit.. :)

Well EB, that makes a difference! I'll run out and get myself a brand new digital SLR with macro lens. I wish i'd known earlier :-)

Can someone please tell me how to actually go about posting a photo on this site.
As i would like to post up the photos of my ap set up. Not for this comp but just for people to see.

Mustard,

when you create a new message (or reply), just under the section for typing your text you will see a filename box witha Browse button next to it. click the browse button to find the picture on your pc to upload. Then add a cooment for the picture if you like, then click the "Add the file" button.

note pictures must be less than 256KB in size.
