Hello everyone! It has been awhile since I have been on but I just wanted to announce a new aquaponics business I am starting here in the Dallas-Fort Worth, Texas area, Urban Aquaponics, LLC. While relatively new to aquaponics I have spent years in the aquarium business, have a degree in fisheries managemeny / biology and worked a Gallagher Fish Hatchery in NE Nevada for the Nevada Dept of Wildlife. My own little system has been functioning admirably and I am super excited to get started with my business.

Very soon, my website will be up and running at www.urbanaquaponicsllc.com (I didn't find out 'till after filing my LLC that there was already an urbanaquaponics.com, another forum). What I am offering is custom aquaponic system made from commercial-off-the-shelf parts (COTS) as well as commercially manufactured aquaponics equipment from theaquaponicsource.com. Once it is up and running I am planning on offering a discount to forum members of 10% off as a way to apologize for not having a brick and mortar store that you can purchase straight from. In addition I will also be breeding Mozambique Tilapia for sale in the local area for time being (my permit will only cover Texas for the time being). If you wish to order from any other state in the U.S. then I will have to check on their applicable exotic species laws.

I am also planning on being more involved in the forum, do not hesitate to pass on any questions you may have.

All it takes is a couple of satisfied customers and word will get around, it won't be advertising but the net effect will pretty much the same.
