I had no idea he had left the forum. I paid $100 for some more trout food, but I haven't seen it and I am now out of food.

Has he gone missing in Bathurst?

Has anyone else experienced same?

He's not answering either of his phones or emails.

What the hell do I feed my trout now at their peak growing season?

I would suggest you look quickly for a new source of food, rupert has dropped out of just about every forum he was on.

Looks like your getting the gist of why he is no longer on the forum.

Through personal and professional experience I would recommend that no one do business with him. Ask his advise about AP, certainly, but that's all.

This is where I've been between a rock and a hard place. If i tell people about the experiences I had, many would see it as muck raking or hanging out dirty laundry, unnecessary and possibly not the best thing to do.. But if there are more people having problems, then perhaps people need to be warned.

Consider yourself lucky you only lost $100.

Ian imports skrettings from Tas and bags it up to any size you need. Contact him for pricing

Thanks everyone for your honesty and links. I will be contacting trout good suppliers tomorrow and probably the ACCC. Don't like people who rip off young families.

Having said that I will make a few more attempts to contact him first. Benefit of the doubt and all that.

Rupert has been poking his head up on the AquaponicNation site from time-to-time.... might catch him there.

I'd offer you some but we are running low too. "Big trout winter camp" (rendang's system) is holding temperatures nicely and they don't have to face the smoker yet.
I know how it feels when feed stocks run low. Have you ever tried alternative feed? Sheep liver, ox heart?

Ahh, bummer.
I hope I'm not alone in empathising with both you and Rupe.
I doubt that he tried to rip you off deliberately. Sounds like things get complicated and difficult at times and it got out of control on him.
It sucks that you're left high and dry and it sucks that Rupe is having a rough time.
Hope all works out for you both.

Yeah yr right it must be a tough life taking money from people, not supplying them with the goods they paid for and then sending them an email asking for more money for more products that most likely won't be supplied also.

Sorry not much sympathy overflowing on this end.

Would be good to learn what the problem was...

Chances are he would have been waiting for a bulk shipment..

Even distributors sometimes find NIL stock,, because someone cleaned them out...

I just got 50kg from a primary supplier, and even they did not have ALL their products.. :-(
