Interested to know whether anyone actually looks at or uses the portal page of the forum. It can be slow to load sometimes and our web designer thinks that it should just be removed. Does anyone ever look at it? Should we get rid of it to streamline things? |

Not sure about others but I must have read almost every post in here and now go straight to 'view new posts' link. Think I have been to the portal page maybe 3 times. |

Ahhh, so you use "view new posts" as well, Faye does that too, I don't think I've ever clicked it... I tend to use "view active topics". Interesting to see the different ways people use the forum.. |

+1 View new posts, rarely use portal, not for any reason for sure. BTW this font size is way too freaking huge |

Don't know what the portal is. If you are having conversations with your web designer can you ask them if all the web design on the forum conforms to html standards? I ask because my hubby only uses LINUX (hates Microsoft). He tried to access the forum last night using Firefox on his LINUX system and the appearance of the web page was all garbled and useless. He says - poor web design is the problem. |

Hey grownathome, you might want to get your hubby to try again tonight and refresh the page, our designer here only uses linux and firefox so it should work ok.. |

I never use the portal page. Takes an age to load up. I used to use the view new posts page but then changed to active topics because i kept missing threads. +1 on font being huge. Also everything loads fine on my linux machine. |
