Hello all, I am just making a short post to let anyone interested know that Aquatic Eco-Systems Inc and Green Sky Growers are holding their first Aquaponics Workshop from Nov 30th-Dec 3rd in Apopka/Winter Garden Florida. We will be featuring Dr James Rakocy along with several experts in the field of aquaculture for 3 1/2 days of exiting and informative lecture/hands on activity. If you are looking for factual answers, calculations to determine fish load/aeration/plant load/pvc size/ blower size/ etc etc etc....this is the conference for you. Some of the days will be spent at our roof top greenhouse facility where we have a large ball room for lectures/speakers and a state of the art greenhouse for hands on activity/explanations. The other days will be spent at out mock UVI system located behind our main facility in Apopka Florida where we will have speakers and hands on activities. I'm in the wrong country...  Will you be going Stucco? I'd love to hear Dr Rakocy again, spent a day listening to lectures from him and a few other about 5 years ago. When some ones aquaponics experience (and slides) stretches back to the 70's, you just know that you're getting good information because there's decades of experience backing it up. |

It's a pricey event, but worth it since I believe he had so much to offer over other workshops that have been available. The wifey will certainly be attending- she retains knowledge better in a classroom situation. Plus, with her biology degree, she has more experience with genetics and we are really looking to increase our knowledge with respect to our brood stock and the possibility of sex reversal thru natural means in order to increase the productivity of our small scale farming. Wish you lived closer... would love to finally meet. |

Jeff- NY is in the same country! lol Glad to hear that you or the wife will be there Stucco. Ill try and post a few system pics before I leave for NY next week. It really came out nice and I know how much we all like pictures!
