We are currently helping run a 8 tonne per year Barramundi system at Baldivis.

Our charter allows us to work with commercial companies and we develop new species for aquaculture or new technologies with private neterprise.

have a look at McRoberts Aquaculture on the net

Nice photos and nice system. Have no doubt as to your previous experience or expertise in RAS systems... as I've said before... the reputation of the TAFE is known ...

My possible bad, given you announced that you were to help "setup a commercial system" within the post about your latest aquaponics workshop...

I assumed that your intentions were to setup a commercial aquaponics system...

Such an endeavour would have, to my knowledge, been a first for any TAFE in Australia... and would respresent quite a significant event....

A new commercial aquaponics system in Australia would be an event in itself...

Sorry if my post wasn't clear in this regard, although I would have thought it was abundantly so.... given I asked what model of "commercial" aquaponics you intended to emulate...

Given that the choice of model probably dictates the primary focus of the enterprise... or more correctly from a business model perspective... the primary focus and profit generator would probably determine the model chosen...

I thought it was a fair question in itself...

The Third weekend Aquaponics course finished at Challenger Tafe today and all 21 participants appeared to greatly enjoy the course. Many thanks to Peter Graham for his horticultural input and as usual he overwhelmed the students with pamphlets, notes and entertaining stories.

Thanks to Karina for the catering. The food was excellent and the bbqed Mulloway today was sentational. Next week will be the final weekend course for the year
