Yeah, gnash... I always though that was a dog statue too, not a real one... Pays to look more carefully...

So little time, so much confusion.

Momma Duck looks strangely like a chicken. (Did anyone tell the ducklings?!?!) I didn't know chickens would swim.

We never told them, but I think they figured it out. After a while they started hanging out with the other ducks, but they always had some chicken habits. A few times I saw them try to scratch for bugs!

And no, she couldn't swim. Very sad.
But the water there was thick with lily roots.

Hey hydro you cannot beat the resolution film is capable of yet with digital cameras. The normal film camera has something to the tune of 50 megapixel.

Film still beats digital hands down. Sorry mate I love the ease of my Digital Camera but when it comes to quality photos nothing beats film yet.

This thread is going to look a bit strange now because I have shifted all the comments out of the Competition Submissions thread. That thread is ONLY for the photos, no comments in there please.

Yep. She was confused, but willing: a common condition for a mother hen with ducklings.

Gnash, 'Lunch' is gorgeous! I've never seen one that blue! Wherever did you get it from?

Caught her from a dam around Kalgoorlie, she was the normal brown/mud colour but as she moulted went bright blue.
The change in colour is due to the clear water.
