Blue Wren Rick?
Very nice photo, I agree, she does have 'just the right look' on her face.

Yup, it is a Blue Wren. The two new ones fledged out of the nest today. The nest was right alongside the varandah so we could keep a eye on them. My photo has its focal point just a fraction too far forward, on her beak I would say by the sharpnes of the leading edge of the nest. To be perfect, the focal point needs to be on the eyes. There are too many ways to drive a digital camera to remember how to do it, and then my eyes focal point aint where it used to be!!

They're about to cast a spell on my aquaponics to keep it safe. All those little sacs are actually cauldrons.

Love that pic Gemmell.

Blue wrens are one of the most beautiful birds when the males are in full plumage.

Top shot EB. Our male Blue Wren just won't sit that close or even long enough, to even take the lens cap off let a lone find the camera!

A Visitor to the pond today, this Jervis Bay Tree Frog is one of the local species but have been rare this year. Last year I successfully rescued and raised approx 300 taddies and released them in the Currumbene Creek Falls region.
