Thats why they pick that boat ramp... you wouldnt want to go to a fishing club ramp.
When would you get a break during the day?

Fisheries new Translocation Policy is now out for Hobby Aquaculture purposes. I was told it should be up on their website within a few weeks. Basically you no longer need to fill out any forms providing:
1.You are using only white list species - Barra, Trout, Silver Perch or Black Bream.
2.Maximum number of fish to be moved is under 250 and maximum number allowed on premises does not exceed 500.
3.Fish are purchased from holder of an WA aquaculture licence and used for non commercial aquaculture.
4.Fisheries need to be notified (by email, fax or letter) at least 48hrs prior to fish being delivered with details such as number of fish, species, life stage & source.

 That almost seems like the use of common sense from a bureaucratic government organisation, surely I am mistaken.

So we still need to tell fisheries we are getting them, but there is no permit? Still just slightly too hard, but heaps easier :)

fair enough though. at least they know how many and what breeds of fish are going where, gives them an idea about how many AP systems there are and how big they are without getting huge amounts of paperwork and pissing too many of us off so we wont comply

Yep agreed Freebz. It is as simple as they can make it while still keeping an idea of fish numbers and movement.

I can't find anywhere on their website where anything has changed . :dontknow: Maybe some one could point me in the right direction
Other than on my current approval they now require 24 hrs notice rather than 48

Although it would depend more so on how it will be enforced I suppose :)

The changes are still not up on their website as they are still finalising the farm dam translocation process, once thats done the website will be updated. But dont hold your breath as getting anything done with the Dept of Fisheries takes a ridiculous amount of time, I mean my Jade Perch application has been with them for 14 months now and still no official response!!
I spoke to them last week and confirmed with them that anyone purchasing fish from Ferguson Springs only needs to send them the email with the details as outlined on my website 48hrs prior to the fish being moved.

Be nice if they sung from the same hymn book.

I e-mailed them a couple of months ago to check if anything had changed and was informed no it hadn't and to renew my translocation permit , which I duly did , which they then told me I didn't have permission for my S.P , so I e-mailed them a copy showing I did , which they then said to chuck the previous and use this one...man :upset: and you deal with these muppets weekly :support:
