Getting adds here and then gaps, certainly would not be paying her.

ads for filipino dating sites... That can only mean that Google is not always right with advertisement placement. :-D

I don't like them because they are in the way. I accept when there is a banner on the top and another on the bottom. But when I go to 'view your posts' I get another banner after the second thread and after another 3 and a couple of blue blocks between the other posts.

Can we pay $10 a year and the option of disabling the ads?

Pay to disable ads? I'm not seeing any ads on here at all, Adblock does the trick for free :)

Oh, hang on, send me your $10, that should help

The only oddity I see is the fat line under the 2nd top post in the View Active Topics page, and a very ocassional 2nd or 3rd fat line a bit further down, that's about the only main page I look at, other than the individual topics themselves.

Yes, when I get her to finish it all off properly, logged in members won't get any adverts, visitors will get 2 adverts in each thread that they look at.. Still a bit of a mess ATM..

Maybe a change of process is needed? Normally a web build is performed on a hard drive that emulates the online folder structure. Testing can be done on the test system and the live system only gets changed after the bugs are ironed out.

I think a change of person... That's exactly what she was going to do, but instead she's done the whole thing live over many days and it's still not right.. :dontknow:

I'm still seeing the thick line in sub-forums and Active Topics. Interestingly, and it may be a clue to where the code is wrong, in sub-forums off the main Board Index page, the thick line is one thread down but in all the 'search' type links across the top of the page, the ones starting with 'View' (Unanswered, Active, Unread etc) the thick line is 2 threads down. If I run a search normally & choose 'threads' to display, it is 2 lines down - if I choose Posts to display, the line is just under the first post heading. i.e. the line seems to be page-location dependent.
