Woo hoo.... finally after a couple of years of being invisible to most of the search engines, the forum is showing up in google searches again.. Seems it just needed the updated version of the software..

That was pretty quick too, to go from absolutely nothing a couple of weeks ago, some forum threads are now showing up in the first page of google searches, sometimes searches show multiple forum threads in the first page. Yay....

That's weird

I'm still not able to use the recent discussions links on the home page since the upgrade. When I click on a link I get the following error message.

[phpBB Debug] PHP Notice: in file /blocks/block_links.php on line 60: dir(images/links) [function.dir]: failed to open dir: No such file or directory

Fatal error: Call to a member function read() on a non-object in/home/bac8844/public_html/forum1/blocks/block_links.php on line 62

They're randomly linking to forum1/

I can't fix it myself, I don't know Joomla :-/

Yeah, we have a guy doing some work on the main site at the moment, he will be looking into it at some stage soon...

Just a note, there will be upgrades later. Dunno when yet, but it shouldn't take long.

Wow, how harmless was that... Thats how updates should be, all over in a few minutes, hardly any down time at all...

Please excuse the minor disruptions there may be over the next hour or two.. We are installing some new modifications to the board, shouldn't take long, and shouldn't disrupt too much...

Just be wary though, don't want people losing long posts..

If anyone uploads / looks at images, could you post here whether it actually worked? I don't know whether I've got the permissions right

Just got to work out exactly how it works now... Nice one.... New buttons....

If you are wondering whats changed, you can now create a picture album, or numerous different picture album if you like. You can also browse other peoples album, comment on peoples pictures and rate them if you like.

When someone has an album, a button will show below any of their posts, otherwise there is a button at the top of the screen "galleries".

There's also a blog mod installed, so if you want to blog about your system or anything else you can start one with the blogs button at the top of the screen.. Once again you can comment etc, as you like on your own or others blogs..

If you use them great if not, doesn't matter...

Cool..... also at the top of the screen you might notice a "chat" button...

Any chance of getting a timestamp added to the chat, so when you open the window, you can tell how long it's been since there's been any action?
