Mate it is a matter of patience and knowing the camera and capabilties there of, that leads to a good shot.

Believe me, for every 1 good shot there are on average 100 shots between, and out of these maybe 1 or 2 will be first class by my own standards.

My camera kit includes a Canon Powershot S2IS with wide angle lense and the usual features such as Movie, Anti Shake etc. I also use a Fuji Finepix S9600 with similar feature but tends to take the better Vista shots where as the Canon has the better macro functions.

Both cameras are now classed as out dated but they still serve my purposes well.

If you need any tips or hints just let me know

Photography for me is much like shooting rabbits.

Pick up a shotgun, point in the general direction, pull the trigger and hope.

Those fancy cameras are like shooting bunnies with an airrifle. Sneak up close, judge the fall of the pellet, movement in the wind, temperature coefficient of expansion, guesstimate how far out your sights are, attempt to stop your hands from shaking, and then gently squeeze.

Too damn hard unless you have a warren and a lounge chair ;-)

It does a good job, doesn't it F&F. Just like the old pair of slippers, you get comfortable with them and would not change them for the world. eh?

There is a lot of banter but not much action yet!!

Here is my latest best shot, and it took a couple of shots before she had the right look on her face. She and her feathery mate Blue are our bug catchers, and flat out filling the mouths of their two new little'ns. This is their third nest for the season, and their only successful one.

Its a pity not to get a picky of the male this close.
