I would say that the search index needs to be rebuilt, but that may take some time on a forum of this size.

All in all, I think the upgrade has gone pretty smooth.

Yes there are still a few little hiccups, might take a couple of days to get all images backup online, new threads are not happening, and search functionality needs looking at...

Just going to let you know that new topics are no working but you beat me too it.
Had a good one too about incorporating an AP system into my soon to be built decking entertaining area.

I think that's what caused the issue :/ I'm working on it now.

Rebuilding search index is probably going to take about an hour, it's only managing 30 posts a second

Things are still ticking along slowly with the final bits of updating.. Looks like the indexing for the search function didn't quite finish yesterday, stopped at 2008.. Getting there....

Images are all there and just need to be moved, but it's not an easy thing. Seems that the file manager built into Cpanel (the back end admin software for hosting) only allows 2000 files at a time. You look at a directory and it doesn't matter how many files are in there, it will only show 2000. Try and copy the folder or download the folder via FTP and you get 2000 files, if things don't crash out, which is a lot more likely.

I'm trying to sip the whole folder containing all the images so that I can download them before uploading them again to the right spot, first zip crashed at 1.2GB. It had a file list but was corrupted and nothing would extract..

14,500 pictures have been uploaded to the forum since it was started..

And they are all in the one folder, hence the reason why there have been issues..

So in case you are wondering about some of the pictures that are missing on the forum, they aren't missing, just taking a while to sort them out...

So is there going to be a new layout or anything?? or is purely a backend upgrade to make things run smoother?

Yeah I guess that's the let down for 99.9% of people, that there's hardly the slightest difference visually.. Big differences in the back end though, as well as security. No having to manually search through about 50 spammers a day for Jaymie any more.. And who knows perhaps now google may actually index some of the pages....

Now we are in an up to date position, and we've found a good phpBB bloke, we could perhaps make other changes or mods.. I haven;t really looked much at what is possible...
