Actually it's at Wirrina Cove Resort (south of Yankalilla) and it's on Saturday the 13th of July.
It's being run by 1Aquaponics, and there's info on his website here: http://1aquaponics.com.au/aquaponic-1-day-workshop/
Speakers include:
Andrew Dezsery -he's probably the person with the most experience in aquaponics in SA. Andrew has travelled the world to study and work on aquaculture and aquaponics and has a lot of credits to his name including establishing the hatchery at West Beach
Neil Griffiths - a vet who knows a lot about fish
Colin Lord - an electrician who specialises in solar (Colin came to the first BYAP get-together in Adelaide a few years ago now at my place. He's busting to get his own aquaponics system going but has to wait until he finishes building his house).
I believe there will be other speakers too.

I spoke to Andrew who said there will be a lot of information for the person who has been "tinkering" with aquaponics but now wants to take it to the next level.
At $295 it's not a cheap ticket but it's the sort of thing that doesn't happen much in S.A.

Let me know if you are planning to go so I will know who to look for.

David :)

Hi Folk , finally have finished all the confirmations and have included a full list of speakers. So far no one from the forum in SA has contacted us and the early bird pricing has expired however, we still have included in the price, (accomodation, breakfast) , lunch and tea breaks, conference, free bonus aquaponic 101 software pack course valued at $185 sold internationally (9hours of training plus heaps more), 10% discount on next fingerling purchase and a door prize of a single bed home aquaponic system. I have attached the flyer and hopefully it worked.

regards Andrew

seems the pdf is not allowed ...please pm me or some help to upload this please.

Andrew,

To attach your PDF you will need to zip it (.rar I think) and then attach it.

Conference workshop went extremely well. After a good 2 months prep work I feel stuffed today though. Will post photos later in the week. Around 50 plus attended and the weather held out well. Tim K from Darlington won the door prize of a base model Aquaorganic 780 aquaponic system. David Haines from this forum attended, not sure if others from here did too. Meetings with PIRSA Manager and Director next week to negotiate inland practices including aquaponics future legislation. Will keep you posted for next years event and come see us at the WAS ( World aquaculture Symposium) in Adelaide next May.

Hi Andrew,
Thanks for a great day at Wirrina, was well worth the trip down there. I'm also not sure if anyone else from this forum was there.

For those that weren't there I would really recommend it if it ever happens again. There was something for everyone, from the novice to those planning a commercial venture. Some interesting facts/science about water quality and nutrient uptake. The speakers all really knew their stuff, and while some of the info was way above my head the speakers were all available for discussion during the breaks. Up until now I have got most of my information from forums and trial and error, but it was very interesting to hear about research and some of the science behind what I've been TRYING to do!

World Aquaculture Symposium - that sound interesting! Please keep us informed.
Thanks again,
David
