Just a heads up! Not sure if there was a change on these sites overnight but IE and Chrome is now listing these sites as having malware. The Advisory for it seems to be Google. I have had it verified by our IT support and other external parties. We use my trendmicro antivirus here at work but the warning doesn't seem to be coming from it........ James |

I run Firefox version 12.0 for Mac and am getting the warning at every BYAP link and sub directory. Warning says it is a Reported Attack Page. 'Attack pages try to install programs that steal private information, use your computer to attack others, or damage your system.' Heavy stuff! I hope no-one actually gets done over. |

Yes it's been a busy morning.. Unfortunately again we have had a couple of pages hijacked, same thing as before, except this time unfortunately google has scanned the site while the pages were affected. This means that the sited has been added to googles "naughty list" for sites infected by malware, as such people get a lovely red warning page served up by google when they visit the site... So long as you have antivirus software, there are no problems. There's nothing malicious within the BYAP site as such, it's just some small code that gets inserted into a few pages, that redirects people to a malicious site. The code is now gone, the website works fine, but without some major changes, in the future, the code will be added back into the pages. It seems that there is probably a security issue with a Joomla plugin on the site that allows someone access for this to happen. We are hoping to get the updated site copied over today, even though it is not quite finished cosmetically. Then I have to go through the process of getting taken off googles naughty list once the updated site is copied over.. |

Take heart, earthbound: AP is good news and it is spreading quickly, largely courtesy of your initiatives. |

15 registered users as well as 130 guests online... Looks like most people are just ignoring the google warnings.... |

Phew... what a stressful morning... Need another cup of chamomile tea.. The new website has been set in place, it's still not finished, so functionality is still not 100%. But at least it is all up to date so there should be no security issues any more.. The site has been resubmitted for google to check, so hopefully there will be no more issues and the nasty red pages will be removed soon.. |

I have symantec Sep12.1 antivirus/spyware loaded and up to date but it hasnt picked up anything. Not surprising really as Sep 11 never picked up any spyware. Still got the google attack site warning |
