I suggest everyone put a watermark on there photo's before uploading.
across the center to each edge.
just do it faintly so it don't ruin the image.
Use your name or forum name.
if you have a website put it.
or even put it here.
I am not sure if phpbb has a image watermark system to watermark every image uploaded or not.
I know some portals I have used have that feature. (which freaked me out when I was unaware of it.)

It is sad how these bloggers do this. They should always give credit where credit is due.
Hopefully soon I can start working on my AP.

You can always try http://registry.gimp.org/node/21024 to watermark your photos and it's not so obvious.

I really don't like the idea of having to try and watermark all of the images on here, I guess I probably could find some software that can do it, but i would have to regularly do them in batches as more images are posted, and the whole idea of having a watermark really shits me.. It just doesn;t look good, I hate it when sites have watermarks on images..

The almost invisible watermark thing from gimp is much nicer, but then doesn't really solve the problem of the people stealing the images. When you confront them they generally remove it, if it's not really visible, they will just grab it and use it till you tell them not to. So to stop them in the first place it really has to be something big and obvious, and yucky.....

well if they are going to steal/use them at least have the water mark advertise your site where they got them from "www.backyardaquaponics.com/forum" or "stolen from www.backyardaquaponics.com/forum" :headbang:

Mr Andrew Endres (but I don't imagine that's his real name) of easy diy aquaponics... Oh yes, yet another crappy online e-manual and video about aquaponics that will "save you thousands of $"...

For using our growbed model in his video rather than making his own...

And for making over exaggerated claims about his products and system, and making up fake feedbacks, and I really can't be bothered going on...

I would be happy for all the images I have uploaded to this forum to have a watermark like that on them. I still have the originals without a watermark should I need them again.

That way should someone wish to use an image they can seek permission or if they use the one with the watermark then BYAP gets some promotion.

I cant see any point in watermarking as you can easily remove it in Photoshop.

True ... but it involves a bit of time and effort... and I don't think most of these guys would bother with either...

They'd just look for other unmarked images...
