There was a stall at the Talbot market today as well, with a blurb on commercial AP and consultancy services.

Among all the other things that have been mentioned: his choice of plastics is appalling. Those white plastic containers get so brittle with age. Once they are a few months old after being exposed to sunlight any knock, bump or just the weight in them will cause them to crack.

From the photos in the consultancy and commercial AP blurb I got the impression he was a Murry clone. I guess he could have just flogged his photos.

Where's the :shakeyourheadwithdisapointment: smiley.

Seems there are more and more experts popping up.. It's ok when people have some actual experience and knowledge, but when they make obvious mistakes it's disappointing.. We have one in W.A. who is offering AP training and courses and he thinks that Barra are omnivorous.. :dontknow: Good training people will be getting there.

Others that claim they have "decades" of AP experience, when I know that 5-6 years ago I was struggling to explain to them just what AP was.. In fact only 2 years ago I was still trying to explain to them that "No you didn't need to add ANY Hydroponic nutrient". Now they sell systems and they're promoted as "experts"... :dontknow:

I'm an expert! Perhaps I should promote myself too.

Hopefully not the worse kind of expert but - the one that doesn't know what they don't know (or wont admit they don't know).

Haha, great laugh that site. Those white plastic tubs will last one summer, like said above. I found this out using them in self watering tubs. They are still going in the greenhouse with protection from UV, but when I put one outside, it had collapsed by the end of summer
I saw pamphlets for this at the Ballarat hydro shop, and didnt bother to look further

$1500 for a converted apple box, or $1985 for a BYAP courtyard system... I know which one I would go for...

After a bit of a google search, it would seem that Murray is the chairman on the Australian chapter of the Aquaponics Association.

Starts to make sense now..... :dontknow:

No, Murray is the Chairman of the "Australian" Chapter... not ther president of the Association...

Although this page has actually disappeared from the website... so who knows.... :dontknow:

http://aquaponicsassociation.org/chapte ... australia/

The website, like the "association"... doesn't seem to have updated, or done anything for many months...
