On the CA Fish and game website theres an incomplete list of registered aquaculturists. I dont know about red claws but theres a place in bakersfield that breeds red swamps and signal crawfish. The latter of which have pretty big claws. |

did you purchase your crawfish? I am looking into aquaponics. right now, I have several vertical towers in my back yard setup for hydroponics but am looking at aquaponics. and Crawfish have a bit more appeal to me than fish. I was looking to see if you had set things up yet. Also, I am in Redondo Beach. do you do any local shopping or are you doing most of your purchasing online. thanks. and sorry for the newbie questions

I live around Lake Tahoe my buddy has been caching some, so I added one to my empty 10 gal tank, and lowered the temp(temp for crawdads around 65, my temp for goldfish was about 75). Its only day one, hopefully he(I think) stays alive and grows. |

The crawfish won't be enough to supply the plants with food.. Crawfish,shrimp and lobsters are add-ons not the main component in aquaponics. |

Just use ornamental fish if your not interested in the fish |
