I spoke to her and she is real nice. I found a source up here in Orange County (Irvine). I almost went to the Salton Sea and caught my own. A bit of a drive though.

**BUMP** This is an old one, but I have tilapia for sale in San Diego. I don't ship but they are available for pickup. $1 each for approx 1" fry. I also have channel catfish on rare occasion, but none right now.

Not sure if I remember correctly, but don't tilapia prefer ph 8?
If so, I might have to change fish to one that can stand down to 6. I know strawberries like 6. I'd like to keep them in tyhe loop no matter what.

Tilapia are very durable and tolerate a wide pH range. Mine do very well in pH 6.5. Though if I don't check it often I can find it at 6 or below.

When breeding I have a colony in a tank where I maintain a higher temp and pH 8.0
