Its a pity the ones in my inside tank aren't as tough. Lost another one last night. I think my tank is cursed as I still have all my Trout in my AP system (Hope I dont jinx myself).

Cannibals, bloody cannibals....

I've found goldfish to vary incredibly, I've seen some survive in surprisingly poor conditions you would expect no fish to survive, yet I've seen others turn their toes up because the wind changes direction.

I have had the same Joel. Had goldfish die and silvers in the same tank all live, had trout die 100% and goldfish ok, :dontknow: Did managed to kill a little one the other day by hitting it with the net trying to fish out some uneaten food

I bought 13 feeder fish;
2 left have survived trout nipping their tails off, all the others dropped off 1 by one - some from over feeding...

Its Good to throw peas in for the feeder fish and Goldfish as This acutally helps them by stopping a main cause of death, getting Bound up.... thats right Peas get your fish regular hahahaha :laughing3: :bootyshake:

Yeah I have heard this before and the goldies that died in my big tank were all healthy looking but had fat guts, so probably bound up , yeh.

I used 10 feeder fish (goldfish) for my 1000lt fishtank and they lasted for 2 years. Most of their problems was because of float bladder problems. I ended up feeding them crushed peas and keeping up their fibre.
