Hi Guys, I'm looking for somewhere in Perth to get round corrigated GB's. I've searched online for hours and haven't managed to come across anything decent yet. I've found similar items used as stock water troughs but I've not managed to find them at the correct height / dimensions. In particular, I'm looking for this sort of thing; ![]() or ![]() Also looking for a 3000L FT & 1000L sump, either Galv or HDPE - anyone know a cheap place to get these? What to the BYAP one's go for? Thanks for your help. Cheers, James |

Anyone know of the top of their head what the BYAP tanks are worth? Outbackozzie wrote: And if you dont buy Joel's ones, make sure you get the Aqualined type. Is that a coating on the inside? Do you need that on GB's and FT? |

[quote="MrOrangeAnyone know of the top of their head what the BYAP tanks are worth?[/quote] About $925 for the 3000L.... $705 for the 2000L.... $400 for the 1000L .... $330 for the 500L Includes GST... and I think the prices are still current... or near enough ... monya wrote: that second pic is mine of my first system, the gb's were stock trough seconds from team poly. Thanks monya, I didn't realise they were made from Poly. What size were they? 2000m Diameter by 400mm high. Looks like we only have retailers here in WA, looks like they're manufactured in SA so I probably won't have access to the 2nds |

Thanks RupertofOZ - I have requested a price on a 3375L tank from http://www.ebenezerwater.com.au/tanks.asp#aquaplate - will see how it goes. I like the look of the BYAP tanks but I'll be bricking it in and fully insulating the tank anyway so I'm more concerned with price than looks. Of course, if the BYAP tank is cheaper... |

Mr. Orange , you may find that Joels growbeds are excellent value, well made, safer and better looking than the corrugated ones.... |

Plus they don't look like you cut up a tank. |

johnnie7au wrote: Mr. Orange , you may find that Joels growbeds are excellent value, well made, safer and better looking than the corrugated ones.... That's very subjective though Johnnie7au. I can't justify $325 on a growbed. I'm sure they're well made, personally I feel I can get better value for money using alternate materials. Obviously I'm not the only one, see plenty of people using baths, blue barrels, cheap buckets etc as growbeds. Also, galv. / corrugated goes with the 'look' i'm after. Will be neat 'rural'. I'm a country boy stuck on a city block dreaming of acreage. |

If trying to save money, you might look into pond liner for grow beds. I have one bed that is directly on the ground with some wood framing to hold the top of the liner up and filled with gravel. If bricking it in anyway, perhaps the insulation and bricks are all you need provided the system arrangement would allow this. |
