As title says...

where can one buy some polystyrene or something else suitable for a floating raft system in Melbourne?

Can't seem to find any on the bunnings website and many say they no longer stock it.

Other have said go down to your local Harvey Norman / Electrical store as they use a lot in packaging and throw a lot out.

DOW styrofoam, kingspan, celotex........ this are few of the names for the good quality insulation boards, they might not be cheap but last way longher tha polyestere and do not lose up all those little pellets.

Here in perth we can get free poly sheets from insulation company that makes cool room panels and such, they cut to order from larger pieces which results in excess 3.6mx2.4mx5-15cm thick sheets they dispose of.

I and many others have grabbed 100's of sheets each, great for insulation or rafts, and free. Maybe ask around?.
