If you live in South Australia and if you meet the requirements you can currently get up to $200 rebate for a rain water tank from SA Water.

I read the details on the SA Water website and I found that it does not need to be connected to the household plumbing and there's nothing specifying that you can't put fish into it :D

Mitre 10 at Sheidow Park have a 1000 litre tank for $201 and if you go to their website http://tanksforsale.com.au/delivery.html they offer free delivery in metro Adelaide.

So with the rebate, I just bought a 1000 litre Maxiplas round tank for $1.

No I'm not afiliated with the store at all, I just wanted to share the bargain. :thumbright:

Please read the SA Water page for the rebate details:

Pretty cool, yeah?

I'm actually planning on cutting it in half and creating 2 x 500 L tanks. They will be 1 meter high each and there's a few options available for structural integrity. I might put a brace across the top in a big X to hold the sides where they need to be. I also have the option of putting some star droppers into the ground there for extra support.
:)

Thanks for the offer. That's one nice looking tank, however we are tight on space in our yard and I'm already pushing my luck with the $1 tank (wife took some convincing).

Erich you're more than welcome to it. :)
