Looks like a long way off 2:1 ratio there, plenty off scope to put in more GB. How many fish are going in and what sort. Looks good Faye. The enclosure could almost double as an avery. |

If it were mine Skipd, I'd haved user finer mesh and be growing butterflies, birds make too much mess too close to the veges. Good idea though. |

I reckon forget 2:1, 1:1 or less makes a far more stable system.. That systems 0.5:1, pretty low ratio, but for a school, it's good. |

So how many fish are you intending on stocking (fully grown). Stability is definately good for a school or any system really. What about stocking with Koi. Possible resale, great to look at, lots of stock and less blood shed for the little ones. Although fish bashing could become a new school sport.

We have no idea what fish are going in there.. The area has been designed by architects, we've been dealing with a building contractor and site supervisor as well as the architects, I don't know that we have even spoken to a teacher from the school...

GB vs FT Ratio really means nothing - we would be wise to discourage it's use and opt to a fish weight to growbed size ratio instead. i.e 3kg/100L GB etc. |
