Michael heard about aquaponics from one of his clients as well as someone else on the same day and decided that was too much of a coincidence not to find out a bit more. When he discovered that he could grow a crop of rainbow trout within six months ans well as raised vege gardens to pick from he couldn't wait to get started. great system all you need is a cover for the fish tank or the trout will end up over that fence (great jumpers) cheers brett&vicky

The trout will settle in pretty quick, it doesn't take long for them to get used to their new surroundings. I do advise to keep the water level down a bit for the first week though. I actually topped up my fish tank to the brim at the end of their season. It made it easy for them to jump in to the frying pan but they only did it with encouragement. not of their own accord. |

Complete with 15 varieties of sesonal vegetables and herbs. The list includes garlic chives, afro parsley, rhubarb, sugar loaf cabbage, thyme, mizuna, fennel, oregano, rainbow chard, italian parsley, leeks, sage, broccoli and cauliflower. The trout are due to be delivered and the water is lovely and ccool to the touch for their arival. Michael has taken cordyline cuttings which are already starting to produce roots in the growbed. The first critter that I was greeted by in the garden was a soldier fly landing on the growbed, when I told Sue she stated "it must be meant to be". Michael heard for the first time about growing your own fish food by breeding flies. I told him that he'd join the ranks of a very elite group. His parting words were, how long do you think it will be before I wil be wanting more growbeds? I think he is a little bit excited about his new system. |

The trout are in and happily swimming around in their new home. I missed you by about 2mins Faye and saw you turning onto Beach Road but despite my frantic waving and sounding of the horn I dont think you saw me. |

I probably had the music ramped up and bopping away in my own little world. Sorry Gavin I had to go there early as Michael had other appointments and couldn't play aquaponics al day after all.
