Post subject:  National Lifestyle Villages Gardeners Group at Baldivis
The first aquaponics systems for National Lifestyle Villageswill be going ahead very, very soon after the Baldivis Gardeners group were successful in receiving a grant from Lotterywest which will see them embark on a journey learning all about aquaponic food production.
The grant will enable them to have 2 x 3 bed systems installed the very near future.
Today a group arrived on a bus outing to show other residents just how this water efficient food production system can work.

Well the onsite consultation has been completed and the designs have been drawn up with the installation date yet to be finalised.

Well it shouldn't be too long now before the team get back with the installation photos from their days work. Leaving here this morning was Peter, John and Nat follwed a little later by Joel, who went along to lend a hand. I believe that it may have been a little wet down there today, and I guess we shall find out soon enough. "Backyard systems in Baldivis" woohoo :cheers:

Thanks Rupe :thumbright: the residents are pretty excited about this new concept of growing their own fish and veges and are keen to see it do well, as it may be a first with other lifestyle villages soon to follow suit. It is pretty wet outside now, so I do hope they are all packed up and on their way back by now.

There's no shame in that gnomeman.. I have a classic photo (somewhere)...of two grommet surfers waiting to jump off the point... totally oblivious to two very attractive topless young woman virtually beside them...
