Post subject:  Harvey Senior High School
Well the paving was done and stage 1 of the aquaponic system was installed. Harvey is situated about 2 hours south of Perth and is a lovely country town with many surrounding farms. The area is known for its fresh produce including milk, orange juice and beef amongst other things.
The alcove was a perfect spot for an aquponic system and the space allows for another growbed to be added in time.

Once the ground was made level it was time to begin filling the tank.

John is pictured here setting the timer to run for 15 minutes of each hour. During this time the pump delivers water to the growbed, when the pump turns off the water continues to drain over the next 45 minutes, before the pump kicks in again.

With the system up and running the boys are ready for the nice drive home, back to the hustle and bustle of the city.

Peter says, good idea John. I think I'll have carrot cake with my cappucino. The pair are seen relaxing at the lovely Stirlings cottage. What a great job! They still made it back in time for a beer at the end of the day.

Seems like Harvey is getting the Aquaponics bug as I know that the Ag School there also has an aquaponics set up.

Good to hear... The school has already planned their future expansion for this system. I wondered why this one was an unusual layout but they will be adding another bed in the future, then also another system in the not too distant future..
