they'd set up rules that they'd have to be instantly put into a slat water solution to kill them, or something, too much risk of them being translocated even more by kids taking home live ones.

And ya they handle salt water dam well by the way lol.
Just thought... may as well post it. We have all thought of it at some stage, sure its not practical but....
The gambusia have gotta go.....
Unless its just too late already and we just accept them as the new dominant creek fish.

Maybe if you made it into a waterside festival, with a booth for the kids to exchange their catch for cash. Issue nets and buckets. (Bucket of bleach discretely kept under the counter of the booth.) Swimsuits and watershoes suggested. Add a few booths for games, snacks and environmental awareness. Sounds like a great Earth Day event.

every few years they have tilapia fishing comps up here, for the same purpose. I feel they should have them every six months :twisted:
