Hi all, Wasn't 100% sure where to post this one, so if there is a better place can I please ask a mod to move it? Anyway, found this vid recently on YouTube from Kirsten Dirksen where she interviews Paul Holowko, who "is an electrical and computer engineer who has turned his technical skills on his garden. About a decade ago he began his first biosphere- a self-contained garden world in a corner of his garage- complete with sensors for detailed monitoring. He’s now running version 4.0 - complete with crabs and strawberries- and he hopes one day to help grow food on Mars." Fascinating stuff, especially if you are interested in sustainability, and our species exploring beyond our own planet. He has some aquaponics set up, though this video doesn't focus on the aquaponic side of things there is a good bit of time spent on monitoring and sensors, which could have real application in the world of AP. |

I saw this one on youtube. I don't think the aquaponic side is working at all. Those fish look tiny considering their age, which means they aren't getting enough food and are starving, and the tomatoes just look sad. Sounds like he is a little all over the place. |

He does seem to be a bit scattered, maybe trying too many things at once! |
