Watched this video and found it interesting.

I couldn't agree with her more about the importance of soil biology and that is one of the reasons I like to include media beds as a component in AP systems. Having said that is she correct? If she is correct how applicable is what she is talking about to AP?

In media systems is the available surface area too small to ensure sufficient transfer? Are we doing the same thing as traditional soil farmers adding chemical fertilisers when we add iron, P, K, Ca and other stuff?

On the video itself why would anaerobic conditions in soil drive pH down?

Of course nitrification of all that TAN

anaerobic bacteria also output different secretions.

they bind soil together, etc rather than make it light and fluffy.

i wouldnt be surprised if they output stuff that is of different ph, etc.
