I was going to slip this one into the TED thread but concluded it needed its own. It is a talk by a guy named Ron Finley who is doing some magical work in South Central LA in relation to the out of control fast food, obese, disease stricken lifestyle of the poor folks that reside within its community. This one really got to me and I hope this man and his group can make a difference.. truly inspiring..

That exactly what I've been doing in my noeghborhood, volunter work to help other to start growing and to coach them through a year cycle (5 families in total),because at the moment we are not using all of the land I've been donating a plot to local folks who have no access to land as an incentive.
Let's see how it all goes as the weather as not been helping lately.
