By that time the AP system will be growing enough biofuel to run the generator for free

in your research you guys may come across a mother earth news article wehre they built one back in the 70's and they gave it a bad review. i have done alot of counter research and found that the mother earth news built a horrid version. there tanks were too thick walled. and the pipes connecting the tanks were way too small wich is why they failed. other then that. some of my own thoughts on improvements is to do two row's of tanks stagared for a smooth spin effect.
what this does is in effect have atleast one tank completely full that's driving the wheel at every point in the spectrum.

check out www.otherpower.com for idea's on what i think would be a good solution to building an alteneator like they use on there wind generators.

its a wonderful idea. and to make it work all you have to think about is that wonderfull day when you can sell power back to the power company heh.

Link to a device. If it was to be scaled up (say to oil drums) I think it would be simpler and more efficient to build it on a 45degree axis.

I wonder how much Mother Earth got paid to build and document the useless version -- or did they volunteer so they could stay on the map?

for you older guys out there. remmember the honda kick n go's? my parrents told me about them. it was a scooter with a peddle you kicked and it propelled you. if you use that mechanism hooked to a flywheel and a seesaw.... ie giant drinking bird almost. every time the see saw tilted it'd engage the peddle and spin the flywheel wich in turn has an altenator mounted to it like the one's they use on wind generators.

the fly wheel would keep it spinning untill it engaged it again. maby even set up a tandem seesaw one on each side of the flywheel so at any given time one of the seesaw's is engaged in the peddle spinning the flywheel.
it may be a efficient and simple setup to build.

If I won the lottery I would use it to buy stuff like this.... sigh!... go so completely off the grid I wouldn't need to win it again! :D
