Hi i have marked out a place for my new expansion but it can only get afternoon sun. Is there a big difference between the 2 and the growth rates of the plants? |

You should be right with either though perhaps in Summer it may be a bit hot n harsh perhaps... Does it differ much over winter/summer? |

Not too sure tbh EB. I havent been at this house for long enough. I guess in summer i can chuck some shade cloth if things get too hot. |

From when I visited Zman... I think summer will see full sun most of the day.... But better that side, even if you have to shade in summer... and you have to for the fish tank at least....' Don't put the trout tank over that side though... it'd warm too quickly... put the Silver Perch over there.... or just all the grow beds... |

Hey Rupert, If you look at the pool my current setup is on the right (which gets morning sun) I will be putting it on the left fence which gets afternoon sun. The FT will be shielded from the sun and the ST will have the GB over it. At the moment the Silvers will be in the ST and trout in the FT. |

Definately morning sun in preference if possible. If plants are shaded up to midday then get hit during the hottest part of the day it will hurt them (experience talking here). Dont worry about too much sun, 50% shadecloth will take care of that, and remember plants need sunlight, very few plants do well in shade and certainly not fruiting plants. |
