The flowers from my pumkin plant keep falling off ? Isnt this where the pumkins grow, like from the flower or am I wrong ? The flowers get quite big then drop off. Anyone got any ideas or explanation

Are they males or female flowers? The females have a little pumpkin behind the flower. If they are female and are falling off, then they are probably not pollenated. Grab a male and rub the pollen on the females. |

Yap, what veggie boy said... Although remove the pellets from the male flower first. Apparently best done in the morning when the flower might be still a little moist from cooling down overnight... or make sure you are not chasing away any bees... pumpkins are bee pollenated... I have seen bees go into the flower and coming out with their whole head covered in yellow pollen... |

Can you post a pic of the plant and flowers Skipd, please? I will then give you a lesson in plant pollination! |

Yeah, males usually pop out first. Give it a few more days and you should see a little mini pumpkin with a flower on it (just like squash). |
