I've just created a couple of IBC systems for the wife, with the intention to try flowers. Anyone had any experience with flowers, particularly in Brisbane?

Rowena from Wales has done a few different edible ones. Nasturtiums do well, marigolds, calendulas and irises. These are the only ones I can think of at the moment. Hope it helps Ryan :flower:

I threw a packet of "wild flowers" in when I first started my system. They were pretty old seeds and I did not expect anything out of them. They eventually did come up, but perhaps it was the wrong time of year, but I never got any actual flowers out of them - just some stuff that looked like grass.

I have grown these very well in a shaded / semishaded spot.

Sunflowers grow well here in Perth.

These were from seeds we got from a wild plant of the side of the road in geraldton.
