I've found a company providing seedling trays (see pic's)

If anyone wants to join in a group purchase of seed trays either 72 or 96 hole trays

They will need trays to hold the water to match the size of the outer dimensions, I haven't started looking yet, so if anyone can advise on where to get them I'd appreciate it.

I've got to do a minimum order of 25 trays (I'll probably get 5), from memory the
approximate pricing is $5 for a 72 hole and $5.5 (incl GST) for a 96 hole
they may be less

If you go to your local nusery you may be able to get them for free as alot of their stuff comes in trays similar to these (not as good quality) which are disgarded......just a thought :D

Gents - A much better idea thanks, I'm visiting a couple of nurseries this weekend.
I'm sure the nursery ones will be a bit smaller too.

I learned from my last few posts, thinking I've got a source for a useable product.
when you guys have most of the answers. (Get your growpots second hand from the nurseries).

Ok now my next questions...
1. Where in perth do I get Vermeculite and Perlite ? (of course at the cheapest price !)
2. What sort of tray's do you use, or do you put them directly in the grow beds ?
3. Where do you get the cheapest seeds (heirloom seeds) ?

I'm building my bell siphons this weekend and going to try and move my new fish tank into position, through two garage doors FT = 2150 and door = 2165 I couldn't have gone for BYAP's tank at 2300 it would not have fitted through the doors.

Yeah

Phred did you build or buy the FT?

I am starting to look for right angle steel and recycled timber. Just needing to cost up the building exercise.

Phred I grow seedlings in trays and transplant to GB, have more success than planting seeds str8 to GB. I bought a yates mini greenhouse comes with trays in it, works a treat
BYAP shop have a good selection of Heirloom seeds, not sure on pricing but I am sure they will be a good price

Eden seeds online are good for a lot of heirloom seeds and good service too.
Bakers creek in the US have a great lineup but some seeds will not get past the border patrol (ausie post), as I have just found out

I bought the FT from Tankmaster in midland for 802, it was really my only option given the garage door, oh and this saturday's the garage cleanout so i can carry it through, I suspect it'll be a 3-4 person job, I guess if your building a tank then the biggest issue will be sharp bits cutting a liner, i've seen lots of pictures online of wooden structures with liners.
the tank's bigger than I need but i'd rather grow my beds around the property to match it,

Nocky - thanks found them
I found a bag of vermeculite/perlite mix, and sat down tonight and planted my seeds in a couple of trays (second hand one).
It was very hard not to stick in lots of seeds, I suspect i'll be needing one seed per pot, which is very different to my past vege patches.
I'm keeping an eye out for the first Honeygold mango's for this season, I want to try one in a blue barrel.

Mantis - thanks, i'll have a look at Eden, i have a couple of packets from them already, I hadn't tried looking them up online yet.
