Due to setting up our aquaponics system over the last 8 months the soil garden has suffered. But you can always rely on a crop of pumpkins This is some of the harvest, we have already given away heaps and enjoyed a few pumpkin soups and stews

How many did you get Desertrat? We grew butternuts and Ironbark a few years ago and got 68, they were great and lasted twelve months. |

I grew 19 on top of my chook house, kept the chooks very cool in summer and 10 butternuts on the ground. They are funny I had huge pumpkins hanging off the side of the chook house with no support but their stems and they never broke, one was very elongated. I thought I would have to make slings for them, but no, they knew what they were doing. Have you got a nice recipe for pumpkin pie? Dale |

No J7 just soil grown. AP took up too much time this year and so my soil garden was neglected my only effort was throwing in a handfull of pumpkin seeds! |
