About 3 weeks ago I bought some roma tomato starters from home depot. Each pot usually has 4-5 seedlings that you can seperate. I seperated them apart and put 2 into my DWC raft and planted 2 in 6" soil cup filled with a healthy organic soil mix. 3 weeks later and this is the results. There is 2 plants on the left that are in AP compared to the cup on the right soil mixture. Both plant size and root size is 3-4 times the size of the soil. Another pic of some royal red luttuce start, 2-3 time the growth as in soil cups. Pretty amazing to actually see it side by side.........Cory Attachment: tomato.jpg [ 80.81 KiB | Viewed 1767 times ] Attachment: lettuce.jpg [ 70.21 KiB | Viewed 1763 times ] Attachment: AP.jpg [ 98.08 KiB | Viewed 1763 times ] |

Great photos! I am definitely excited to be able to compare my AP growth to my traditional garden this summer! Happy growing! |

My comparisons for plant growth show Hydroponics wins, Aquaponics a close second, soil based veggie patch with supplement third and without supplement a distant fourth. However I get more enjoyment out of feeding fish than adjusting pH and nutrient solution every day or two. |

How big are the net pots for the tomatoes, they seem too small. Will it OK in a month or two as long as you provide support? |
