Who just sprinkles their dipel instead of mixing the solution like instructed on the pack? I've seen a number of people say the sprinkle. Any disadvantage in AP in using either method?

I sprinkle because I read of someone else doing here on the forum some time ago. Seems to work.

I get mine from B, it comes in a box with sachets in it which I empty into an old pepper shaker.

does it work.....personally I have never had much success with Dipple....but try and try again.

OBO uses it every weekend, and he never has any grubbs. I probably don't use it enough.

And this is the first time I have heard for shaking it on....it would take me days in a normal growing year 8)

That's a great idea.
I find a spray doesn't stay on the leaves of all plants especially waxy leaves like cabbage and cauliflowers.

it is a great expensive idea and as Rupert mentioned, it may need to be mixed with water for the bacteria to activate .....

If it works for you mate it works.. :D

But I honestly don't get it. Are you going to turn over every leaf and salt and pepper shaker them....I couldn't do it  ... Do you ??

If it is mixed as directed, and sprayed on all foliage wouldn't that possibly work better ??

I have doubled the dosage , and added other stuff ......but this is the first time of ever hearing it been applyed in a powerded form.

I would love to hear from other people in relation to this matter.

I've used a Dust mizer duster to apply dust products to plants. It is a hand crank device with a tube with directional end that turns a small amount of powder into a fine dust that is more likely to stick to plants and is a far easier way to apply to the undersides of leaves that using a shaker..

Probably not all the leaves but some. Do you turn over every leaf with a sprayer. Not much difference really.

Dont know, I would like to say both methods work.

The reason I use this method is I have the shaker handy and ready to go instead of mixing up a spray whenever I need it. I find it to be just an easier way of doing it... nothing else.

WELL I might have to change my thinking in applying Dipple.

I might aswell be a Dipple shaker aswell if it works so well !!! Thanks for sharing.

And no, I don't turn over leaves....... I use a pump spray, it sprays under the foliage I just spray all plants all over in the water / powder solution

those sprayers work great. You can put a small air fitting on them if you have a compressor so no more pumping(bored one day)

If you have a problem with it rolling off leaves try to add a wee bit of biodegradable soap like some dawn. I think Dawn soap might be OK but I never used it in a fish containing system but it will make the leaves stay wet with solutions of pretty much anything I ever sprayed.
