Does anyone have any sugestions how to get rid of these.
Never had them until I planted a grapevine. They are destructive little buggers in that they eat the stems, usually where the leaf joins. They only come out at night and drop to the ground if disturbed.
So far I have tried banding the vine and grease on the support wire, no effect
Peeing round the grapevine hoping the ammonia would keep them away, no effect
Putting rolled corrugated cardboard around, they dont go there.
My next attempt will be chilli in water sprayed on the vine but if anyone has any other ideas?
They have now got into my vert NFT and are giving the dwarf beans a hard time
