Something I would like to see, a forum section for the plant recipe. It would make finding particular recipes or info easier to search if one could do it within a plant uses, prep and recipe section. Of interested would be how to use; (and I have some tips or suggestions for some of these mysellf) Moringa Sweet Potato Papaya Green Papaya Turnip Greens Turnips Okra Aloe Plantain (the lawn weed, not the banana like fruit) Stevia Mint Garlic Purslain Rosemarry Winter Squash Summer Squash & zucchini cucumbers kohlrabi beets ... and the list goes on. And it does not have to be just the basic food recipes. How to preserve or store some things would be very helpful hints. How to use the things that have been preserved is also important. Then there are the things that we don't usually use as food but tend to grow anyway like Aloe, anyone got a good recipe for salve other than simply using the juice from the fresh picked leaf? Then again, some people would like re-assurance about how to go about using a leaf off an Aloe plant. I see a section like this as being a good place for people to ask questions about how to use particular plants as well as share what they know about it. Thanks Mods! |

Add comfrey to the list. Got one the other day and have just googled it. In dirt gardens its leaves contain 2-3 times more potassium than farmyard manure. And it makes a great fertilizer and compost additive. Wiki says In past times comfrey baths were popular to ‘restore virginity’. But I don't know if this will help AP in anyway. |

Well, comfrey has long deep tap roots that can mine for nutrients like potassium. Comfrey does make a good fertilizer but is also high in Nitrogen and phosphorus so isn't likely to be a good choice for potassium supplementation to systems. It is supposed to be a good remedy for injuries which might explain the bath idea. |

Adding comfrey leaves to a gb a good idea? What does the nitrogen and phosphorus hurt or is it the amounts. |
