Our broadbeans have developed suckers... 2 x growth tips at the base of each plant, as they normally do. Question is - since the plantings are so much closer in AP than soil, what do you think if I nip out the tips or the odd few as they will not have enough space or light to produce Thinking is this will allow more energy to the main stem. Any ideas???? |

I have found that the plants that I had planted too close / or too thick, were a lot more susceptable to caterpillars / aphids. I now thin out all plants. |
