Post subject:  leaves dying , please help

I have noticed this afternoon that the leaves on the silver beat , like nearly all of them, ( and there are heaps) look to be burning maybe, or dying from the inside to out. Must be in the water, cause it doesnt matter which grow bed, they all have it. I bought a white spot remedy from a pet store in Bunbry, and the owner swore black and blue,
"This is THE product, safe for the fish to be for human consumption and the plants would be fine." Its the only explanation i can think of that might be the cause to this symptom. Any ideas??? or suggestions for a remedy.
