I have been told/and or read somewhere, that a freshly cut, store bought Watercress cutting can be cloned.

Has any one personally done this?
What was the root time?
What cloning method did you use?
Did you use a hormone or rooting agent?
Did these cuttings prefer a range of PH?

thanks for the feedback.

I would just try dangling the cress in some water and wait for the roots to appear. I wouldn't call it cloning though, just striking a cutting.

whats the difference between that and cloning? your starting with a larger sample, that's about it.

I was hoping it was just language.

I searched the term "Cloning/Clone here" and the results were slim, I still need to tweak my search skills. It must not be a widely used word/term in AP or maybe AU. I did read, what we would call, "tissue culture" but for us that means, really small, like cells in a petri dish and is slower than seed propagation. I have an sonic Cloner, that really saves me time, I can root most anything in 5 -10 days, even hardwoods.

When I'm up and really going, I'm going to TRY "Sonic Fog" the fish water. I guess you'd call it, AeroAquaponics or FishFogAponics. I really can't wait for these new nutes.

Is anyone turning fish water to Fog & then back to fish water?

I think rooting a cutting is just called plant propagation.

A clone is an exact automous replica of the parent material used- whether it be plant or animal- but you are right, they don't call it cloning when it comes to plants.
